Vorboss unveils new London-wide FTTP for Businesses
A UK dedicated business fibre-optic network is ready to connect London businesses and provide direct access to essential fibre-optic infrastructure.
In a market where most businesses are still connected at 1 Gbps or less, Vorboss is providing 10 Gbps as a minimum, effectively removing bandwidth constraints for their customers. Vorboss owns the network end-to-end and sells directly to its customers, which allows it to bypass the resellers that provide access to the Openreach network.
The majority of London businesses rely on the legacy Openreach infrastructure which can only be accessed through resellers. The growing dependence on technology and the constant shift towards cloud-based infrastructures have increased the dependency and bandwidth demands on fibre network providers. Vorboss revolutionises the status quo by offering ambitious London businesses direct access to critical fibre infrastructure with simple, transparent pricing and London-wide coverage.
London generates a GDP of over £500 billion; Nevertheless, many companies remain at the mercy of restrictive telecommunications products and business models. Vorboss is delivering 10 Gbps as the new minimum standard, with 100 Gbps services already live with some customers. These include 22 Bishopsgate, Britain’s largest office building, known for its visionary approach to technology. The Vorboss service helped 22 Bishopsgate earn a WiredScore Platinum connectivity certificate, the highest seal of approval possible.
The Vorboss approach to building the network is as disruptive as the network itself. Vorboss has created over 300 new jobs for Londoners in the last 18 months; for most it is their first foray into telecommunications. Much of this was made possible by the change in regulations in 2019 regarding the use of existing infrastructure.
In the past 18 months, nearly 200 people have graduated from the Vorboss Academy, an accredited in-house program designed to provide people with the skills to launch a career in the telecommunications industry; Almost 40% of the field installation team are women and the company strives for gender balance in all job roles.
