CityFibre, the UK’s largest independent, carrier-neutral, full-fibre platform, has named Newark as the next city in line for a multi-million pound investment in its digital infrastructure, a step that will add it to the growing list of Nation with Full-Fibre-enabled communities. CityFibre will invest £10 million in a new citywide network that will provide fast and reliable Full-Fibre-enabled Internet service to almost every home and business in Newark. Across the UK, CityFibre is building new and better digital infrastructure for up to eight million homes and businesses through the nationwide rollout of Full Fibre.

Full Fibre optic networks, unlike many of the copper-based Fibre optic broadband services available today, use 100% Fibre optic technology to carry data at the speed of light from the home to the point of connection. This gives users speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps for both upload and download (up to 1,000 Mbps), almost unlimited bandwidth and connectivity that users can count on. As an essential digital utility, Full Fibre empowers homes and businesses alike, with experts saying it will bring a range of economic benefits such as: B. increasing our productivity and innovation. Construction of the full Fibre network in Newark will begin this November. When work is complete in each neighborhood, CityFibre will mark the homes as operational, meaning residents can choose to connect to full-Fibre-capable broadband services when they go live in their area.
