Netomnia reaches 210,000 premises
Netomnia, the UK’s fastest growing fibre broadband operator, has announced that its all-glass multi-gigabit network now spans 210,000 buildings across the UK, all operational. The company has also updated its rollout map with planned locations by the end of 2023 in an attempt to become the first alternative network to have a network presence in all four countries of the UK. Together with internet service provider YouFibre, Netomnia has secured €418 million in funding since 2020 to support its rollout strategy, including significant investments of €295 million led by Digital Bridge, marking their first investment in fibre optic infrastructure in Europe.
Passing 210,000 locations in less than two years is an unprecedented achievement for a small business. Netomnia is currently operating at a build rate of 30,000 buildings per month, meaning it is on track to meet its goal of one million buildings and accelerate the UK’s transition to all-fibre. All of this is made possible by the hard work of our small but brilliant team of 100 people and represents an exciting step forward as Netomnia continues to scale rapidly and roll out fibre-optic broadband across the UK. Netomnia’s network ensures multi-gigabit connectivity for decades to come.
Netomnia provides Internet Service Providers (ISPs) with comprehensive connectivity and builds the infrastructure for their broadband services. Its broadband infrastructure supports symmetric (same upload and download speeds) multi-gigabit services up to 10 Gbps using XGS-PON technology; This means that ISPs using Netomnia’s network can offer their customers reliable ultra-fast speeds for years to come.
