Gigaclear’s ultra-fast full fiber network Boost for the Blenheim Estate
COVID-19 has underscored the importance of good internet and the property has gone a step further to allow access to Gigaclear’s ultra-fast full fibre network Navigating the palace’s sensitive parkland is a challenge in itself, it is a listed landscape and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During construction, Gigaclear paid special attention to old oak trees, Europe’s largest collection, and the respected Site of Specific Scientific Interest (SSSI). The installation went according to plan. Gigaclear’s work, which traversed the Blenheim Estate, lasted just three months and has enabled a further 385 properties in the wider area to access its network, which offers speeds of up to 900Mbps. These include residences in Combe, Wootton and Bladon.
Matthew Neilson, Head of Property and Development at Blenheim Palace, explains said: It’s great that the Gigaclears network has future-proofed the area. We all know that having access to a good broadband connection is more important than ever and Blenheim and the surrounding villages now have access to a world leading one. The work of Gigaclears has continued to transform the area into a great place to live and work, an idyllic rural location combined with the benefits of a high-tech lifestyle commonly associated with city living.”
