Tewkesbury to get Ultrafast full fibre multi-gigabit Broadband
Netomnia, the UK’s fastest growing fibre-optic broadband operator, today announced that it is deploying its full fibre-optic multi-gigabit network in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Netomnia will provide Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband infrastructure to around 11,000 premises across Tewkesbury, providing access to its robust and reliable broadband network with an investment of up to £3.3m for the city to new businesses in the area to receive and wear.
The company is working with Light Source to expand its broadband infrastructure in Tewkesbury, enabling high speed deployment and execution using the latest optical solutions.
Jeremy Chelot, Chief Executive Officer at Netomnia commented: Tewkesbury is a very special location for the team as it is the home of Netomnia HQ. As a region with high economic activity and a large skilled workforce, access to fast and reliable broadband speeds is vital. We’re proud to build our network for Tewkesbury residents and businesses with technology that will support them for decades to come.
Along with its sister company YouFibre, an internet service provider, Netomnia has secured 418 million in funding since 2020 to support its rollout strategy and aims to reach 1 million sites in 2023. Its broadband infrastructure supports symmetric (equal upload and download speeds) multi-gigabit services up to 10 Gbps (10,000 Mbps) using XGS-PON technology; This means that ISPs using Netomnia’s network can offer their customers reliable ultra-fast speeds for decades to come.
