Ultra-fast broadband to Buckingham
Gigaclear, the rural internet service provider, began expanding its network to Buckingham on a commercial basis earlier this year. It will enable 6,866 homes and businesses to benefit from broadband speeds of up to 900Mbps once the rollout is complete. This gives a much-needed boost to the city’s internet speeds, which currently average 16Mbps.
A fast and reliable connection is vital in so many aspects of people’s lives. Whether work, leisure or entertainment, so much of our activity takes place online. Before Gigaclear brought full fibre optics to homes, when moving large files like photos or videos, or doing important tasks, there was always a feeling of slight apprehension that the operation would not complete or be aborted due to the weak connection to reassure people that it would it’s not complicated to switch their broadband provider and that they might end up paying the same or maybe less for a much better service.
The Gigaclears network will extend from Buckingham town center to Page Hill, Linden Village and part of Badgers and surrounding areas including Chackmore, Thornborough, Nash, Great Horwood, Padbury, Gawcutt and Radclive. Ultra-fast broadband to Buckingham and the surrounding area will help its residents emerge from the pandemic as part of the modern UK economy.
Not only can residents achieve better speeds, they can also save money in the process. It’s really a win-win situation. The expansion of Gigaclears construction to Buckingham is expected to be completed by early 2023. Gigaclear’s full fibre broadband tariffs are currently frozen, meaning both new and existing customers will not see a price increase until October 2023 at the earliest.
