Ultra-Fast All-Fiber Broadband Network coming soon to Dinas Powys

Ogi, the fastest growing broadband company in Wales, announced that its ultra-fast all-fiber broadband network will soon be available to residents and businesses in the village of Dinas Powys. Engineering work, which will begin later this month across Dinas Powys, will create a much needed all new fiber optic cable network throughout the village. This will enable homes and local businesses to benefit from one of the best broadband experiences anywhere in the world and is just the beginning of Ogis’ mission to bring true full fiber broadband to communities across South Wales and access to connected experiences and opportunities.

In recent years, digital inclusion has become more important than ever. Schools have relied on the internet for learning, while it has also enabled us to work, connect with family and friends, and entertain ourselves. This program will provide the residents of Dinas Powys with fast, reliable broadband, which is absolutely vital in the modern world. Residents and businesses in the Vale of Glamorgan, like so many Welsh communities, simply haven’t gotten the broadband they deserve as the transformation begins. Full fibre broadband is much faster, more reliable and more sustainable than traditional services.

By targeting harder-to-connect communities, Ogi is accelerating the pace of full fiber deployment in South Wales and changing the digital landscape for generations to come. Ogis’ offering is ultra-fast and ultra-reliable at up to 900Mbps. To achieve this, the company has already laid 100km of state-of-the-art fiber optic cable across South Wales and today’s announcement marks the start of local engineering work to connect Dinas Powys to this ultra-fast network.
