1 Gigabit Fibre Speeds Now Available in Sudbury
Residents of Sudbury can now start placing orders for Lit Fibre’s gigabit broadband service after announcing that the service is going live in the town. Just over 3 months since their announcement on November 26th that Lit Fibre was beginning deployment of its 10Gb enabled network at Sudbury in Suffolk, the company has confirmed that deployment of its network is now on for its first orders and installations.
The first areas to become operational are the Meadows Lane/Edgworth Road areas and the Belle Vue Road to Newton Croft areas. Residents living in the first launch areas can benefit from full fiber broadband services with a choice of symmetric 100Mb, 500Mb or 1Gb packages. Introductory pricing starts at just Lit 25 per month for Lit 100 and is subject to a minimum term of 12 months.
The Lit Fibers 10Gb enabled network provides a much more reliable and consistent service than the legacy copper-based network that is prevalent in the city. Work to extend the network to the rest of the city is ongoing and is expected to be completed in the spring.
